Adult Gym page
Our Adult gymnastic class is a great place for those who have done gym in the past and want to get back to it, or those who have never done gym before. It provides a safe, challenging and supportive environment to learn new skills.
We recommend that those attempting this class should already have a basic level of strength, flexibility and coordination which can be developed in a general fitness class.
How does it work?
The class has two dedicated coaches who help gymnasts develop skills on floor, and also on some apparatus. There is a focus on tumbling and acrobatic skills and general strength and flexibility development.
Classes currently run on Thursday evenings from 7:30-9pm. We offer two payment options: a term fee or a casual rate which includes 6 classes, with any extra sessions charged at $15 each.
What to wear
Comfortable clothes which will not catch are fine for Adult Gym. T-shirt/singlet and shorts/track pants/leggings are ideal. Barefoot is best, and gymnsats should make sure they bring a drink bottle to each class. Hair should be tied back, and jewellery is not permitted in the gym.
Are the coaches qualified?
All our coaches are accredited with Gymnastics Australia, and complete annual skills updating. Our adult coaches are aware of the demands of adult life and more mature bodies, and each gymnast works within their own limitations.
